C L A U D I A D I N E P PRINCIPAL + FOUNDER
"After a rich + fulfilling proper 'desk job' in landscape architecture, I recently committed to spending more time designing outside in the plant world.
I design landscapes, and now often also install, monitor and tend whole plant communities: beautiful, resilient, sustainable environments - with overall better design outcomes for my clients."

Claudia Dinep is founding principal of OUTSIDE Landscape Architecture + Ecological Design.
She is a registered and licensed landscape architect in Connecticut, USA, is United States Green Building Council Sustainable Sites Initiative, SITES AP certified, and has researched + practiced ecological landscape design for over 27 years.
Claudia’s hallmark is her expansive mindset toward designing beautiful and sustainable spaces at every scale - from small details to broad conceptual ideas in backyard gardens to parks and preserves, universities, vineyards, visitor centers, hospitals and healing gardens.
Claudia is committed to sustainability - social, cultural, environmental, and to education and outreach. Between 2005-2010, she partnered with landscape architect Kristin Schwab, and embarked on a five-year book-writing journey that took them across the US in search of built examples of the very best sustainable site design projects from Virginia, Connecticut, Minnesota, Arizona to Oregon.
